Here’s what Amrutha Kashinath had to say when Touragrapher contacted her over her thoughts and experiences on adventure Motorcycling travelling to the Remote lands.
Hello Every one!
“Four wheels move a body but two wheels move the Soul”
A Bright Sunday morning, on my way to Hampi, from Bangalore and a pit stop for Tea! Thats when I got a call from the Touragrapher aka Sanjeev who wanted me to write about women motorcycle riders. So here it goes in short & brief!
I am Amrutha Kashinath aka Amy from Bangalore, a web content publisher by profession with a mundane job and my passion for motorcycling uplifts me. It’s the sense of freedom which what that makes me ride. I have covered over 42000 kms across 15 states on all forms of motorcycles, from superbikes to Dual sport motorcycles.
My Adventures includes Ladakh, entire South India, Srilanka & I am eagerly awaiting for my next ride which will be to Bhutan.
What Motorcycle riding means to me
Travelling is therapeutic on a personal level, while motorcycling boosts my confidence. It gives me a feeling of liberation, decision making & creates a new perception. It’s always been a great learning on my every ride. I believe, there is a positive influence and encouragement that I would like to spread to other women who wish to ride.
It feels awesome when I see a fellow woman rider. Riding can have a good influence on women’s condition in India. My friend Shubra and I are chasing our dreams by riding from Kanyakumari to Kashmir with a cause stating women safety in India.
I believe it’s important for all women to follow their dreams and never give up citing any social reasons; a will to pursue what you dream of should never be given up.
